Join Bike Walk Alameda at 9:30 to ride to the event! This group bike ride will include the new bikeways on Central Ave. Meet up with them at 9:30 a.m. at the Alameda City Hall steps, 2263 Santa Clara Ave.
You’re invited to the ribbon cutting celebration for the Central Avenue Safety Improvements Project! This project brings major safety and active transportation improvements to this former High Injury Corridor, including modern roundabouts, safer pedestrian crossings, a protected two-way bikeway, signal upgrades, traffic calming improvements, better lighting, and stormwater remediation.
This project is only possible due to City Council leadership; dedicated staff, consultants, and contractors; community members, school district, and transit partners; and funders. Thank you!
