Be the change you want to see in your community!
The public process for transportation infrastructure projects, plans, and policies can seem complex and daunting. Via this program participants gain information and strategies to navigate this process and be effective advocates.
Bike East Bay has developed an innovative training program for our local partners called Green Mobility Ambassadors (GMAs). These trainings prepare individuals to engage in their own advocacy and education on transportation and accessibility projects and programs.

- Bike Civics: Make Yourself Heard – Information about civic engagement and making effective comments at public meetings
- Bike East Bay Education Classes – Learn safety skills and how to get around by bike while having fun

These trainings are free and open to all, some offered as online webinars and some as in-person sessions. Sign up for our notification list below to receive updates.
Several individuals who commit to participating in the entire series may be eligible to be hired as Green Mobility Ambassadors, a part-time hourly staff position with Bike East Bay. This will enable more broad participation and experience than is possible via a typical volunteer advocate model, as not everyone has the same access and resources to participate in the planning process.
