Bicycle Safety for Kids & Families

April 11 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
A young girl with blonde hair, wearing a pink shirt, pink shorts, and a pink helmet, rides a purple bicycle down a paved path at dusk. She is seen from behind, pedaling toward a crosswalk with a "STOP" sign painted on the ground. The background features dark trees against a twilight sky with hues of orange and blue. To the right, there is a dark wooden fence and lush greenery with white flowers.

Help children build the skills and confidence to ride on protected trails and cross intersections more safely. This hands-on course is based on the League of American Bicyclists’ Smart Cycling – Youth Skills curriculum.

This course is designed to help kids grow their independence while learning practical bike safety skills they can use on Lafayette’s protected trails and at intersections. Families will learn together, so parents can better support safe riding habits at home and around town.

When: Sunday, April 11 • 11:00 AM–1:00 PM

Where: Lafayette Elementary School. 950 Moraga Rd, Lafayette, CA 94549.
