Notice From the City of Concord:
Recruitment information for the two at-large positions on the Bicycle Pedestrian and Safe Routes to Transit Plan Advisory Committee
The City of Concord is accepting applications from any person interested in serving on the Advisory Committee for the upcoming Bicycle, Pedestrian and Safe Routes to Transit Plan. The Advisory Committee will help provide direction to staff and the consultant on the project and build consensus with policy development during the plan development process. The Advisory Committee will meet approximately once a month for the duration of the plan, estimated through mid-2016.
Applications can be obtained at Concord City Hall located at 1950 Parkside Drive and must be submitted to the City Clerk no later than January 9, 2015.
Applications will be reviewed by the Infrastructure & Franchise Committee at a public meeting sometime in January with final selection by the City Council at a later date. The two at-large appointees will be expected to attend all of the Advisory Committee meetings for the duration of the project. Two alternates will also be selected during this process, in the event that an appointed committee member is no longer available to serve.
All meetings of the ad-hoc Advisory Committee will be noticed in advance and open to the public. Please contact Andrew Mogensen, Principal Planner, at (925) 671-3152 if you have any questions regarding the Advisory Committee or the application process.
