right now i am in my classroom in temescal watching something go down across the street. two oakland police cars are pulling over cyclists and ticketing them. a neighbor is arguing with one of the officers about the fact that he has called to report racing down the street multiple times and has received no officer response. the officers are very angry and heated up and there are currently two cars there. watch out if you are rolling through stop signs because they just ticketed two people on bikes and are giving a homeowner a lot of trouble. recently i have been happier to see more oakland cops around but if this is their idea of prioritizing what problems to address in Oakland, I have to say I am extremely disappointed. I dont have the officers name but he just stated his badge number is 777853 and reports to Sergeant Page. I wont lie, i roll stop signs daily when there is no one around, i just though i should warn others that now the Oakland cops want to make a little money off of all of us who are biking and ignoring the cars that practically run me off of the road on Broadway every day.
