In February, we will highlight the Bay Trail. You can find out how to help re-open a critical bike commuting section in the existing path, learn more about upcoming Bay Trail projects, and get a photographic tour around the entire trail. EBBC member Stephanie Reed will present her bicycle tour of the completed sections of the whole of the Bay Trail, giving us a virtual ride around this 500 mile gem.

We’ll also discuss many bicycle-related issues including:
- next steps in our campaign to complete the Bay Bridge Pathway,

As the rains dry up, it's time to do some Hazard Reporting


The rains have dried up for the moment, and it is great to take a dry ride around town. It’s also the perfect time to report road hazards you see out on your ride. Why? A break in the rain means that maintenance crews will be out in full force, catching up on their repair schedule and fixing up damage due to the recent heavy weather. But, they can only fix the potholes they know about - that’s where our Hazard Reporting System comes in.

The next time you see a dangerous road condition, like a pothole or debris on the road, you can use our easy online Hazard Reporting System. Simply let us know the problem, and EBBC will alert the proper authority to the hazard. It’s an excellent system: EBBC helps you take the guesswork out of trying to figure out who to contact, and …

Addressing Climate Change

WHAT: Bay Area League Day will be addressing climate change with a specific focus on SB 375.

WHEN:Saturday, January 30

WHERE: MetroCenter at 101 Eighth Street in Oakland, next to the Lake Merritt BART Station.

REGISTRATION: Those who have not registered yet may do so at the door at a cost of $30 (or $20 without lunch). Registration is from 9 to 9:30 a.m.
