The East Bay Bicycle Coalition is now accepting nominations for their second annual Bike-Friendly Business Award.

Businesses can be bike-friendly for several reasons, including:

  • Providing convenient and secure bicycle parking
  • Offering employees commuter benefits for bicyclist, including the Federal Bike Commuter Program and the Bay Area Commuter Check
  • Using cargo bikes in pickups and deliveries
  • Making showers and lockers available to bike commuters (or passes to nearby gyms)

    The East Bay Bicycle Coalition is now accepting nominations for their second annual Bike-Friendly Business Award.

    • Offering employees commuter benefits for bicyclist, including the Federal Bike Commuter Program and the Bay Area Commuter Check
    • Using cargo bikes in pickups and deliveries
    • Making showers and lockers available to bike commuters (or passes to nearby gyms)
    • Encouraging staff to take a bicycling safety class, hosting a lunchtime commute workshop
    • Offering discounts to people that bicycle to your business (year-round or on Bike to Market Day)
