We’re still tallying the receipts and paying the bills for a record-setting Bike to Work Day. The Bike Away from Work Party was a blast and we’ll post some photos soon. Meanwhile, check out the MTC video and photos of Bike to Work Day.
Alameda County led the way with a whopping 44% increase in bicycle commuters over 2008!.
It seems fitting that the inaugural site of Bike to Work Day in 1994 would lead the way. Overall, the regional increase was at 36%. Bicycling is here to stay and EBBC promises to continue to fight for needed access and safety improvements.
Don’t forget that Bike Month continues throughout the entire month of May.
