Honoring the Life of Mark Redar

Author: bcomadmin

Date: November 27, 2017

We are celebrating and remembering Mark Redar, who left us unexpectedly and too soon. Mark was an amazing father, a son, a brother and a friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mark was passionate about bicycling. His bike was his primary means of transportation, and he rode everywhere. He rode with his kids to school, he commuted to and from work by bike, and he was an advocate for more bike lanes and better bike lanes for everyone. He inspired others to ride.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Bike East Bay in his honor.

Bike East Bay works to improve your ride through advocacy, education, and fun events. We lead campaigns to win new bike lanes and upgrade our streets for everyone who bikes, walks, and takes transit. Our free bicycling classes reach over 5000 people in Alameda and Contra Costa counties each year. We grow the movement by celebrating bicycling and building community at our events, especially Bike to Work Day and Pedalfest.

Your donation in honor of Mark supports our work throughout the East Bay. Thank you.
