Oakland has kicked off community engagement to improve transit, walking and bicycling on two major corridors: W. Grand Avenue and 7th Street in West Oakland. Both routes would improve transit and biking, connect West Oakland and Downtown, and to other bikeway improvements coming to Telegraph Avenue and San Pablo Avenue. Give your input on both projects below!

The Grand Avenue project stretches from Mandela Parkway over Lake Merritt to MacArthur Boulevard. The project seeks to enhance transit service and improve traffic safety on a high injury corridor. It will also connect with upgraded bikeways on Telegraph Avenue and planned improvements on San Pablo Avenue. Give your input today.

The 7th Street project seeks to better connect West Oakland with Downtown Oakland, from Mandela Parkway to Martin Luther King Jr. Way. The city will already be repaving Mandela Parkway to Market Street soon. OakDOT is seeking state & local funding to go above & beyond what is planned as part of repaving, and to extend the project limits to connect to Downtown Oakland. That’s where your input comes in! Give your input on what you’d like to see today.
