Virtual Town Hall – Contra Costa Countywide Community-Based Transportation Plan

May 7 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
A map of Contra Costa County, California, titled "What transportation improvements are needed and where?" The county is divided into four regions by dashed lines and text labels: West County, Central County, East County, and South County. Colored shapes represent existing transportation infrastructure projects or areas of focus within the regions. West County (Orange): Includes cities like Richmond, San Pablo, Hercules, Pinole, and El Cerrito, with orange shapes concentrated around these areas. Central County (Teal): Includes cities like Martinez, Concord, Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, and Lafayette, with teal shapes near Concord and Pleasant Hill. East County (Green): Includes cities like Pittsburg, Antioch, Oakley, and Brentwood, with green shapes scattered through these cities. South County (Yellow): Includes cities like Orinda, Lafayette, Moraga, Danville, Dougherty Valley, and San Ramon, with small yellow shapes near San Ramon. The legend explicitly matches the colors to the regions: Orange: West County Teal: Central County Green: East County Yellow: South County The map also includes a scale bar in miles.

The Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) has been working with communities across the county to shape a CommunityBased Transportation Plan (CBTP)—a plan focused on improving how people walk, bike, take transit, and travel locally now and in the future. The plan highlights specific neighborhoods where targeted improvements—like safer crossings, better sidewalks and bike facilities, and more reliable transit—can make a real difference in daily life.
