Signature Gathering at the North Berkeley Farmers’ Market
To avoid devastating Bay Area transit service cuts, we need to gather over 200,000 signatures to get Connect Bay Area Transit, the five-county regional transit funding measure, on the ballot!
Meet organizers from Connect Bay Area at the corner of Vine St & Henry St at 5:30pm for a quick training and to hand out petition supplies. After that, participants will start collecting signatures at the North Berkeley Farmers’ Market. Or you can head out and return your completed petitions at a future event!
Afterwards, the group will reconvene around 7pm to debrief, hand in finished packets, and maybe go for a drink or bite (with each person covering their own tab).
To see the most friendly faces and to join the group training session, plan to meet at the event start time. But if you’ve already attended a training (or if you complete online training in advance by reading our training guide then completing this form), you can stop by anytime to drop off completed petitions and/or pick up new ones.
No experience necessary. You just need to be 18 years or older. Please RSVP so we know how many petition packets to bring! Event hosted by Seamless Bay Area and Transbay Coalition in support of Connect Bay Area Transit.
