Bike Walk CV Launches

Author: Bike East Bay

Date: October 22, 2014

Our newest local advocacy group Bike Walk CV made a strong showing at the Alameda County Municipal Advisory Committee (MAC) meeting October 20, with 15 speakers in support of bike lanes on Somerset Ave and sidewalks on Anita Ave. It’s just a preview of their upcoming Town Hall meeting October 29 with Supervisor Nate Miley, the Alameda CTC, and Alameda Safe Routes to Schools.

For now, follow Bike Walk CV on Twitter

A panel of experts will engage an audience of an expect 100 people on issues of traffic safety and streetscape improvements, and includes representatives from Alameda County Transportation Commission, Eden Hospital, Alameda County Public Works, Bike East Bay, and Safe Routes to School. The goal is to develop an Action Plan for making streets in Castro Valley more about people, and the neighborhoods and destinations they enjoy calling home. Come voice your opinion and let Supervisor Nate Miley and his staff know your ideas to encourage more people to walk and bike in Castro Valley.
