Workshop Goals includes:

  • Introduce residents, employees and others to the project
  • educate participants on policies, designs and infrastructure
  • obtain input on where people walk and bike
  • obtain input on areas of bicycle and pedestrian network that work well and those that need improvement
  • encourage participants to complete user survey

Greetings.
The City of Emeryville invites you to tour the City’s walking and biking amenities and provide input into the update of the City’s Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan. Tours will be hosted by consultants Alta Planning + Design and Fehr & Peers, and will include discussion of bicycle and pedestrian issues at key points around the City.
Participation will be limited to 20 people per tour. Both tours start at City Hall.

Walking Tour led by Fehr & Peers.

Schedule
9:30 am – 12 pm Tour. Shuttle Bus will be provided.
12 pm – 1 pm Discussion and lunch (Pizza lunch will be provided.)
1 pm – 3 pm Optional workshop/brainstorming session with City staff and consultant

Bicycle Tour led by Alta Planning + Design
Saturday, October 23, 2010

Schedule
9:30 am – 12 pm Tour. Bring your own bike and helmet. All participants will be required to wear helmets.
12 pm –1 pm Discussion and lunch (Pizza lunch will be provided.)
1 pm – 3 pm Optional workshop/brainstorming session with City staff and consultant

All participants will be required to sign liability waivers.
