Yuba Bicycles is giving away a Mundo family-style cargo bike to the parent-child team with the most points in the Team Bike Challenge this year in the East Bay. The Mundo cargo bike is great for families and can easily carry two kids, and some.
To be eligible to win the Yuba Mundo Bike,
- register a team in the Team Bike Challenge and compete during the month of May
- your team must have at least one parent and one child (same family) on the team*
- your team name needs to have your school name in it
- your team must be registered in Alameda or Contra Costa Counties, and
- the rest of the Team Bike Challenge rules apply
- oh, one more thing, teams are encouraged to bike to school during the month of May, but all bike trips by team members count
*teams can have more than one parent and more than one child, but need at least one of each, from the same family. This rule is unique to our East Bay Yuba Bike competition and does not appear anywhere in the regional rules for the Team Bike Challenge.
Yuba Bicycles will be at our Bike Happy Hour Party on Thursday, May 10, 5-8:30pm to demonstrate how great their bikes are for families and how easy they are to carry things, including kids. You will love all of the useful accessories to choose from as a Mundo bike owner.
The winning team will receive its Mundo Bike prize at our Bike to Work Day Volunteer Appreciation Party on June 14 at the bike-friendly Hot Italian Restaurant in Emeryville.
