After a 6-week pop-up demonstration of protected bike lanes on Lincoln Avenue, Walnut Creek is looking for feedback to help evaluate the success of the design.
The short segment is critical – it connects the family-friendly Iron Horse Trail to the downtown library and businesses, and dense residential area to the local middle and high schools. The design calms local streets and de-incentivizes drivers from using the road as a cut through. However, there is push back from losing a few parking spots and slowing traffic. Show your support by filling out the short survey by July 18. Additional messages of support can be sent to the lead engineer for this project, Smadar Boardman.
