Streetscape Design Project Opportunities with East Bay Bicycle Coalition

Author: bcomadmin

Date: August 29, 2013

The East Bay Bicycle Coalition is seeking volunteer architect students and otherwise talented creative types to help design better streetscapes with great bikeways. We have several campaigns for better bikeways in several cities in the East Bay, including Richmond, Oakland, Concord, Walnut Creek, Dublin and others. Specifically, we need talented help to redesign streetscapes in both sectional and plan views, as well as engaging 3D renderings in SketchUp or similar software.

For some examples of work done by Cal students last year for us, go to: https://www.ebbc.org/upperparkblvd_proposal. Here are a couple of nice examples for Park Blvd and 14th St in Oakland.

Our campaigns are ongoing throughout the year, with targeted deadlines for important components of the work, in order to have it ready for an upcoming public workshop or key city council meeting. If you are interested in helping with our non-profit, bicycle advocacy organization, please contact Advocacy Director Dave Campbell at dave@ebbc.org. Thanks for your interest.
