Options for riders with bikes during these closures include either a free bus connection provided by BART, or a 3-mile bike ride between the stations; be prepared and plan for delays. In order to help relieve crowding, BART officials are recommending that individuals who have the flexibility to not bring their bikes with them leave them in a secure BikeLink locker, or locked up securely at the station. A free bus connection with bicycle access will be provided for those who need to take their bike with them.
Complete details on the closure, including tips for bicyclists, are available from BART here. Info on how to take a bike on board BART or a bus is provided at BikeEastBay.org/transit.
