Safely through traffic circles

Perceptions of safety are often subjective. With more information they can be more objective. Speaking personally, I have not had problems with traffic circles. Taking the lane is even more important at traffic circles than at other places on residential streets. I make sure I have already taken the lane at least 50 feet before entering the circle. That way it’s easy to control the speeds of cars behind me. A picture of this will help to explain what I mean.
