photos of bike to work daybike to work day 2011 logoAre you passionate about people biking? Are you a bike lane booster? Do you want more people out on bikes every day here on our East Bay streets? Then this is your chance to make a difference. We need to train 50 people between now and Bike to Work Day to help us spread the word about our campaigns and bring in new members to strengthen the bike movement in the East Bay.

Here at the East Bay Bicycle Coalition we have never felt more excitement for biking here in the East Bay then we do now. We are anticipating an explosion of people biking this Bike to Work Day. Yes, Bike to Work Day is rapidly approaching. It is hard to believe with the recent cold and rainy weather, but before you know it wildflower season will be upon us, and cyclists will be coming out of the woodwork and flooding our streets.

It is our goal, at the East Bay Bicycle Coalition, to have trained volunteers at 25 of our most popular energizer stations, all across Alameda and Contra Costa counties, spreading the good word about our campaigns, and bringing in new members. This could be you!

We have two trainings coming up in March where you will meet other East Bay Bicycle Coalition members, enjoy good food, and learn and practice spreading the word about our great work, and signing up new members. This will be a fun interactive training where you will walk away confident in your ability to excite people about the East Bay Bicycle Coalition, and about biking every day. Let’s make every day Bike to Work Day.

We also have lots of Outreach opportunities before Bike to Work Day, so you can put your new found skills to work right away at events all over the East Bay.
