EBBC and the City of Oakland join forces to light up some bikes and get cyclists ready to vote!
On Monday, November 5th, Election Night Eve and the first weekday night after Daylight Savings, EBBC volunteers and staff took to the streets of Downtown Oakland to give away free bike lights, paid for by the City of Oakland, and to make another big push for our Vote Yes on Measure B1 campaign.
In just over one hour we had already gone though all 115 of the Planet Bike front and rear light sets, handed out to cyclists who were passing by and to those who read about our secret location at 27th and Broadway, which we posted to our Twitter feed just before heading out. If you missed this giveaway but still need some free lights, we will also be handing them out to everyone who completes our free, 2-part Adult/Teen Urban Cycling 101 safety class series.
