Headed Your Way: $13M for New Bike & Pedestrian Projects

Your Measure BB transportation sales taxes are funding another round of bike ped improvements, advancing many key projects throughout the Alameda County. In Emeryville, 40th Street gets funding for the final design of bus-only lanes and a two-way cycle track. The Ohlone Greenway in North Berkeley will get funding to expand the pathway connection to North Berkeley BART Station. Mission Blvd. in Cherryland will get funding for new protected bike lanes and transit improvements. (Read all about the long term work to transform E 14th St. and Mission Blvd. into people-first streets). West Las Positas in Pleasanton will get funding for protected bike lanes. And even more is on the way.

The Alameda CTC is expected to approve the list July 22, with funding available in the next two years. Bike East Bay will be following up with our local leaders in each of these jurisdictions on the design and construction timelines for each project.
