This general meeting of Traffic Violence Rapid Response (TVRR) will be held at OakStop’s Telegraph Gallery Room (1721 Broadway in Oakland) on Saturday, February 8th from 11am to 1pm.
The first half of the meeting will cover the following items:
- Oakland traffic safety recap
- Re-naming/rebranding discussion
- Project briefings from members and requests for participation
- Meeting and Q&A with Josh Rowan, Director of the Oakland Department of Transportation
The second half of the meeting will focus on community traffic calming program opportunities in Oakland. Partner group Walk Oakland Bike Oakland, represented by Chris Hwang, will lead a discussion about how TVRR can help accelerate and expand the installation of traffic calming in places where communities identify their greatest needs.
Light snacks and drinks will be available, with a walk/roll to lunch immediately afterward.
