The Southside Complete Streets project transformed three streets in Southside, all bordering the UC Berkeley campus – Bancroft Way, Dana Street, and Fulton Street — making it safer and easier to move from, to and around this vibrant neighborhood.
The event will recognize all the staff, contractors, funders, community partners and stakeholders who helped bring the project to fruition. We’ll be joined by Berkeley Mayor Adena Ishii, Councilmember Cecilia Lunaparra, City Manager Paul Buddenhagen and others to celebrate improvements that improve accessibility, safety and planet-friendly ways of getting around.
