Richmond Public Works Engineering Department will be holding a virtual community meeting about the Key Boulevard & Barrett Avenue Traffic Calming installation. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the project, ask questions, and share concerns with the city and the design team.
As part of the project, a quick-build traffic circle was installed to eliminate left turns in order to reduce vehicle-pedestrian conflicts and slow down traffic. Curb extensions at all corners aim to shorten pedestrian crossing distances and improve visibility for pedestrians and drivers.
