After numerous community outreach events starting at the city’s July 4 Festival in 2024 and including three workshops, two online surveys, presentations to City committees and local organizations, and on-site meetings, the preliminary Richmond Street plans are ready for public review and comment. Stretching the length of Richmond Street from Elm Street to Fairmount Avenue, the design will improve safety and connectivity for everyone who travels along the street by installing new traffic calming features, creating dedicated bicycle lanes north of Moeser Lane, planting new street trees, adding pedestrian warning lights and safety lighting, replacing damaged sidewalk, resurfacing the street pavement, and more.
