The City of Berkeley will soon be adding 11 new Bay Wheels bike share docking stations and is gathering community feedback to determine where they should be located.
The City is collaborating with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) to locate the new bike share stations for Bay Wheels, the Bay Area’s regional bike share operator. Recommended locations for the stations are shown in the interactive map online here.
The City of Berkeley is hosting a community meeting on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 5 pm – 7 pm, at the North Berkeley Senior Center, Gooseberry Room (1901 Hearst Avenue, at Martin Luther King Jr. Way).
The meeting includes an open house where City staff will be available to answer questions. A brief presentation from staff will be provided at 5:45 PM, and then attendees will have an opportunity to provide written input on the preliminary list of 11 proposed locations and 3 alternates.
If you cannot attend the event, you may still provide your thoughts in an upcoming Berkeley Considers online survey.
Details about this bike share expansion effort in Berkeley can be found on the project website.
