AS&R has successfully organized and advocated for human-powered transportation in and around Albany for two decades! These activities align with the goals of their sponsor CA Clean Air Day. They will celebrate both at the event.
Celebration Activities:
- Join other partygoers for a walk or ride together to the park, guided by an AS&R advocate.
- Check out the history wall and help envision the future of Albany’s strolling and rolling infrastructure by adding your thoughts about what AS&R should do next.
- Get a free bike bell and installation.*
- Take a turn on the bike blender or just sample bike-blended smoothies.*
- Art table with coloring, helmet decoration, and button making. Not just for kids!
- Bring a blanket and spread out under the trees with your friends.
- Sample light refreshments: mint tea, flavored waters, mini-sandwiches, and spring rolls will be provided from Kim’s Cafe.*
- Enjoy local band Crow for Day’s acoustic blend of Old Time, Celtic, and American Roots music.
- Try your hand at Pickleball with equipment and support from local Pickleball enthusiasts.
- Get a free bike tune-up.* (Limited signups)

Party Rules:
- Stroll & Roll on over to the park if you can.
- Please respect other park guests, including those in the adjacent playground.
- E-bikes, scooters, strollers, wheelchairs, wagons, walkers, and more are welcome. A bike parking corral will be provided to lock up your personal transportation device.
- Due to park regulations, no alcohol of any kind is permitted. (Join us for an after-party at Ocean View Brew Works!)
- Because of the non-profit status of our organization, no campaign materials for individuals running for office may be worn, displayed, or handed out. Only campaign materials for Measure C, the sidewalk tax renewal endorsed by AS&R, may be worn, displayed, or distributed. This includes T-shirts, pins/buttons, and printed material. This is a remove-it-or-leave policy to protect the tax-free status of AS&R and that of fiscal sponsor, Bike East Bay.

 RSVP is required to help plan for the event and allow them to have enough food and other goodies for everyone.
The Clean Air Pledge is highly encouraged. AS&R supports active transportation and clean air every day, especially on October 2nd, CA Clean Air Day. Walking or biking to the celebration is a great start for you to show your support! Use @cleanairday when you post your event photos.
