In rare alliance with Supervisor Scott Haggerty, EBBC opposes Measures A and B
Scott Haggerty, Alameda County Supervisor from the Tri-Valley area, is opposed to Measures A and B, and so is the EBBC. No, the world is not off it’s axis, but many neighbors of Children’s Hospital are upset, and cyclists aren’t happy either that a new 10-12 story hospital expansion is going to permanently block the popular bikeway along Dover Street connecting with 52nd Street. Cyclists riding to and from the Temescal District and from West Street connect with Dover Street via 52 Street. Such connections will forever be eliminated with the proposed new hospital.

While EBBC cannot endorse candidates, we can take positions on ballot measures that relate to our mission, and for Measures A and B we go thumbs down!
