Thanks for another great Bike to Wherever Day! On May 15, 2025, over 12,100 riders joined us in the East Bay, and we distributed 9,450 iconic tote bags at our 120+ Energizer Stations. We loved seeing people of all ages and abilities on every size, shape and style of bicycle and felt the joy radiating across our countless events, bike education classes, and volunteer nights.

Oakland PEdal Pool

Hosted by Walk Oakland, Bike Oakland, it was great to bike alongside OakDOT Director Josh Rowan, Councilmembers Noel Gallo, Zac Unger, Carrol Fife, Charlene Wang, County Supervisor Nikki Fortunato Bas, AC Transit Director Jean Walsh, and 2025 Alameda County Bike Champion Rick Rickard.

Thanks to Pamela Palma for the photos! (Find more in her gallery!)

Berkeley PEdal Pool

In partnership with Walk Bike Berkeley, riders pedaled alongside Berkeley Mayor Ishii and councilmembers Brent Blackaby, Shoshana O’Keefe, Igor Tregub, Terry Taplin, Cecilia Lunaparra, Mark Humbert, and City Manager Paul Buddenhagen from the Ashby BART to Berkeley City Hall.

Bike Happy Hour

Co-hosted with Walk Oakland, Bike Oakland, our annual block party saw over 400 of new and returning faces. A pedal-powered DJ set, Drake’s beer, transit resources, and a special drag performance by OBSIDIENNE OBSURD in collaboration with Oaklash made for a fun night.
