Bike East Bay advocated and confirmed that bike shops are categorized as essential businesses in the Alameda and Contra Costa county public health orders. 

Below is a list of bike shops we know are currently offering bike service in a manner consistent with public health recommendations. This can be accomplished with touch-free service at the door, reservation only appointments, and/or limiting the number of customers in the store to permit social distancing. Most of these business are supporting shops that offer a discount to current Bike East Bay members. 

Those who need their bikes for essential travel during the shelter-in-place order can still have their bikes serviced and maintained. We recommend calling ahead and check in with your favorite bike shop if your wheels need some wrenching!
