280 bicycle freeway access between Trousdale and Millbrae Ave

As of this week Caltrans has mysteriously taken down the Northbound Freeway signs permitting bicycle access on 280 between Skyline at Trousdale and Skyline at Millbrae Avenue, a route that was historically given bike access as they built the 280 over the existing Skyline stretch between those two exits which was previously a bike route. There is no clear alternative route that doesn’t take you well out of your way. They have also removed the bicycles must exit sign at Millbrae Avenue off ramp on the 280 Northbound.

The Southbound 280 between Hillcrest Avenue and Trousdale Avenue however has not been changed yet. I have been utilizing these two sections of the 280 for the last 2 years now and am frustrated as to how this access has changed and how nobody seems to know that it has. Is Caltrans trying to once again quitely sneak in a change and hope nobody notices?
