Join us at the Ribbon Cutting Celebration for the Mokelumne Trail Bike and Pedestrian Bridge over Hwy 4!

This marks the completion of construction for the Mokelumne Trail Bike and Pedestrian Bridge, an 850-foot structure across Hwy 4.

By connecting two sides of the Mokelumne Trail, the new bridge provides safe access to people walking and rolling between Antioch and Brentwood.

Group Bike Ride with Bike East Bay to the event (14 miles round trip):

When: Arrive at BART 8:30AM on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024 – Ride out by 8:45AM *sharp*

Where: Meet outside the Antioch eBART Station, 1600 Slatten Ranch Rd, Antioch, CA

If you are taking BART to the start of the ride, please use BART’s trip planner here to ensure you will get there in time for the start. We will not be able to wait for late arrivals.

The ribbon cutting event will last from 10AM-11AM, after which we will lead another group ride back to BART. Individuals may also choose to ride back before that on their own.

All riders must bring their own working bicycle, water, and any food they might need. Any participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult, and are required to wear a bicycle helmet per state law.

The route includes a combination of bike/walk trails, streets with painted bicycle lanes, and some neighborhood streets sharing the lane with drivers.
