Congratulations to our 2015 Team Bike Challenge winners! May has come to a close, and boy did we have a great ride getting here. This year we collectively biked 479,803.4 miles which saved 479,803 pounds of CO2 from entering our Bay Area atmosphere! And check this out, we had 1,648 teams and 3,052 individuals participating!
This year’s winners features some new comers and some long-standing competitors. In the Company category, Caltrans again is a leader not just in Alameda County but the entire Bay Area, second only to Apple. Sunpower is close behind, ranking 4th regionally. Congratulations! kW Engineering also ramped things up, coming in 1st in the Small Business category (somewhat closely followed by yours truly 🙂
Congratulations to the City of Richmond, Sun Light and Power, EBMUD, and Oakland Public Library (this year integrated in the City of Oakland) for keeping the competition hot. Some of you have been on the podium for as long as we can remember! On the team side as well РSurstr̦mming and Tires Half Full are house names now.
