Pedal Express, the East Bay bicycle delivery cooperative, is looking for a substitute bicycle rider. This position could lead to company ownership. It's approximately 10-15 flexible hours per week for now, $12.50/hour.

Berkeley Earth Day

The Bicycle-Friendly Berkeley Coalition will be valet parking bikes and getting cyclists ready for Bike-to-Work Day and other fun events during the month of May. Volunteers needed to help park bikes and outreach to cyclists. To volunteer, send an email to BFBC President Dave Campbell.

Cyclists wanting to test their night vision skills should visit the Virginia St. bicycle boulevard in the city of Berkeley, which placed a signpost smack in the middle of the road. Painted black, it is nearly invisible at night.

East Bay Bicycle Coalition joins Fourth Bore Coalition in lawsuit against Caltrans

On November 13, 2007, EBBC and the Fourth Bore Coalition (FBC) filed a lawsuit against Caltrans and the Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) on the grounds that the proposed 4th Bore does not comply with the California Environmental Quality Act. You can view a copy of the petition that FBC filed in Superior Court.
