The Berkeley Commission on Disabilities will be considering two items of interest to bicyclists and transit users: speed humps, and the proposed Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project. The city of Berkeley currently has a ban on the use of speed humps, due to pain and discomfort the "jarring" effect can cause for people with spinal injuries. This meeting is an on-going discussion of the speed cushion experiment.
