San Leandro City Council is ready to declare Thursday, May 9 as Bike to Work Day in the ‘Cherry City’ and we would love for you to join EBBC and Transform to receive the proclamation and show support for San Leandro’s efforts to improve bicycling. They are applying for grants for many new bikeways in the City and this is a great time to thank them for this and to show our support for their commitment to increasing bicycling in the City. Learn Safe Cycling Skills - FREE Urban Bike Safety Class!
This 1-hour introductory classroom course teaches the basics of safe cycling, riding in traffic, equipment, crash avoidance, and rights and responsibilities. For adults and teens, no bike needed.
In April 2013, our partners would like to coordinate a San Leandro Creek bike event to raise public awareness of a proposed greenway from the Bay Trail to the Ridge Trail, along San Leandro Creek greenway. If you are interested in learning more. We have an public event this weekend. We hold these events twice a year. We have BART Directors, EBRP Director, Flood Control, City Oficials in both San Leandro and Oakand, community leaders and many others involved in the project:
