Adults and Teens Learn-to-Ride Class - Alameda

This is a class for adults or teens who have either not yet learned how to ride a bike, or learned a long time ago but want a refresher on the basics of balancing, pedaling and steering.

There is a lot of loose gravel in the east bound bike lane on MeCartney just past Marcuse. The gravel is not visible at night. I ended up falling off of my bike here on Friday night (1/18/13).

There is a lot of loose gravel in the east bound bike lane on MeCartney just past Marcuse. The gravel is not visible at night. I ended up falling off of my bike here on Friday night (1/18/13) as a result of this gravel. (My bike slipped out from underneath me.)

The site extends from Constitution Way and Atlantic Avenue, by the Alameda Food Bank, to Sherman Avenue. Near the east end of the site is an old building that once served as the Alameda Beltline headquarters.
