Save Your Bus! Take AC Transit's Survey

Save Your Bus! Take AC Transit's Survey

Like other public transit agencies, AC Transit is undergoing severe budget problems. With the elimination of state assistance for operations like salaries, maintenance, and gas they are looking at 15% service cuts just to stay afloat. They are asking riders to take a short survey to help them prioritize routes and to decide how and where to cut. This survey was also given out at the recent series of community meetings on service reductions.

Learn to Ride a Bike - Class for Youth & Adults

Learning to ride a bike painting by Eric BellisSUNDAY, May 10 at 10am at 1522 Park St, Alameda.

Ever hear the term, “It’s like riding a bike?” Well, it ain’t that easy if you’ve never learned! For adults who’ve never ridden a bike to children looking to get off training wheels, this hands-on clinic should help. Bring your bike, helmet and gloves, and we’ll take the leap together.

Alameda Bicycle Plan - Public Workshop

Where: Alameda High School - in the cafeteria. The address of the high school is 2201 Encinal Ave., but the flyer says to enter from the Central Ave. side. That is between Oak & Walnut Sts.

The city of Alameda is updating its bicycle plan and needs your help! What bicycling needs do you think are the most critical in Alameda? Off-street trails? Bike lanes? Addtional bicycle racks?

This is your chance to express your concerns and make input to the future plans for bicyling in Alameda!
