Oakland releases mobile app to report hazards

Oakland, CA – The City of Oakland is offering a new tool that streamlines the process of reporting a problem, including roadway hazards for bicyclists. Yesterday Oakland unveiled their portal into the mobile app called SeeClickFix for reporting non-emergency problems such as illegal dumping, graffiti, broken street lights and other infrastructure issues to help keep Oakland clean and safe. All of the data goes into the City’s existing Public Works system and the East Bay Bicycle Coalition is working with the City to prioritize repair of hazards to cyclists. We plan to meet with city staff on a regular basis to discuss reported hazards and the status of their repair. So, start reporting your hazards!

Report the problems you see at: SeeClickFix phone (510) 615-5566 email pwacallcenter@oaklandnet.com or Problem Reporting Webpage. To download the free mobile app, go to SeeClickFix or visit the iPhone App Store or Android Market.

Simply let us know the problem, and EBBC will alert the proper authority to the hazard. It’s an excellent system: EBBC helps you take the guesswork out of trying to figure out who to contact, and …
