Bike Hoppin' on Linden Street

November 15, 2009 - 12:00pm to 3:00pm

This year we’re helping to making our own beer for our holiday party, Velo Wonderland. Join the East Bay Bicycle Coalition at the Linden Street Brewery on Sunday, November 15 for an afternoon of brewing EBBC’s Velo Wonderland Winter Lager. Enjoy BBQ lunch, beer and sodas on us as thanks for your hard labor of keg hauling and wort mashing. This is a child-friendly event, feel free to bike on down with your family.

Location: 95 Linden Street, Oakland
Just off of 3rd St and a few blocks down from Jack London Square.

EBBC is grateful to Linden Street Brewery for hosting Bike Hoppin’ and their generous donation to Velo Wonderland. You can read more about their commitment to bicycling, including their new cargo bike for deliveries, in the latest edition of rideOn.

EBBC always encourages responsible drinking and bicycling.

Specialized Dolce

3271 16th Street San Francisco, CA 94103 (right outside Laughing Lotus Yoga)

51" white and blue Specialized Dolce road bike. Front of frame is white and back is blue. Mostly aluminum body, but carbon forks that are blue at the tips. Some floral patterns at white/blue borders. Some parts are rusted. Tiagra derailleur and Sora shifters. Two ways to brake (drop bar and handle bar). Has mounts for front and back lights, as well as a Cateye bike computer. Cateye speed and cadence sensors were attached on the rear of the bike (though these probably were removed). Pedals are silver and somewhat beaten up (these don't match the pedals in the picture since I got rid of the cages). Also has front and rear reflectors. There is a dead small spider stuck in the left shifter. I don't know the serial number unfortunately. Bike was stolen outside Laughing Lotus Yoga Center at 3172 16th St. San Francisco 94103 between 1-5 pm on Feb 1, 2015. Ulock and cable were both cut and left on the ground.

Tour d'Organics Bike Ride

August 11, 2013 - 6:30am to 6:00pm

The Tour d’Organics bike ride is an all-day Sunday bicycle outing that starts and ends at the Sebastopol Community Center. The ride winds through our beautiful West Sonoma County roads, with stops at wonderful local organic farms. Routes go from easy to difficult: 16, 35, 65, and 100 miles. With elevation gains as low as 736 feet, and as high as 6, 175 feet, this ride has something for every level of rider.

Climate Ride Training Ride Number 2

March 3, 2013 - 9:00am to 3:00pm

Our second training ride will take past San Pablo Dam, through Pinole and Rodeo, and over the Carquinez Bridge, then crossing along the bay to Benicia, partly along our old friend the Bay Trail. After lunch in Benicia we'll cross the bridge on a bike lane that Alex Zuckerman and the EBBC fought for over a twenty-year period. Then we go through some industrial areas as we wend our way over to the North Concord BART station. Consider that last part an advocacy ride--asking the question: How could we make this route better for cyclists?

Climate Ride Training Ride - Mt Hamilton

August 25, 2012 - 10:00am to 3:00pm

Mt Hamilton up and back starting/ending at Penitencia Creek Park in San Jose; total distance is approximately 40 miles. We'll arrange carpools to get folks to San Jose. If you are interested in carpooling (driver or rider) please email Rick Rickard. Cue sheet will be provided at the start. Bring plenty of food and water as facilities are limited along the route. Water and vending machine food is available at the summit. Helmets required. Greater than 30% probability of rain will cancel.

Climate Ride Training Ride -- Two Bridge Loop

July 21, 2012 - 9:00am to 1:00pm

Two Bridge Loop starting at 9:00 AM at El Cerrito del Norte BART and ending at North Concord BART. We'll cross the Carquinez bridge into Vallejo and return via the Benicia Bridge. Two routes are available, one 40 miles, and the other 49 miles. We'll choose the route (or split the group) at the start. We'll stop for lunch at a taqueria near North Concord BART. Cue sheets will be provided at the start. Bring water & snacks. Helmets required. Greater than 30% probability of rain will cancel.
