Telegraph Avenue Bike Advocacy Ride #2

March 14, 2013 - 5:00pm to 7:00pm

Join us for a 2nd bike advocacy ride out on Telegraph Avenue. This time it’s an evening commute ride, which will help us assess our brilliant ideas at the peak of usage. We’ll meet at Awaken Cafe, at the corner of 15th & Broadway, at 4:45pm and ride out at 5:00pm. The ride will go up Telegraph Avenue, stopping along the way to discuss ideas such as cycle tracks, lane conversions, buffered bike lanes, better pavement, and more.

March 21, 2013 - 5:30pm to 7:30pm

Our Oakland Bikeways Campaign is on the agenda for the March Oakland BPAC Meeting and we need you in attendance to support our ask for great bike lanes on Telegraph Ave, Park Blvd and 14th Street downtown. While staff are generally supportive of bikeways on these streets, EBBC intends to make sure the bike lanes are well-designed and are comfortable and inviting for you and your friends to use on an everyday basis. Please join us March 21 and let's add some miles to Oakland's bikeway network. See you there.

  • "To achieve significant GHG reductions, transportation modes such as transit, walking and bicycling must increasingly become the preferred mode of moving about the City. To be effective, these modes will need to be available, accessible, safe, cost competitive and desirable in comparison to the private automobile."
