Eden Area Bikeways

Better walking and bicycling for the central Alameda County communities of San Leandro, Castro Valley, Ashland, Cherryland, Fairview, San Lorenzo, and Hayward.

Building a Bicycle-Friendly Concord

Bike Concord, launched in 2014, has a lot of successes under their belt already: buffered bike lanes included in the design plan for Detroit Avenue, a recurring community bike tent at the farmers market, and a great group of volunteers organizing events. Bike Concord is kick-starting a community led effort to build a more bike friendly Concord through advocacy, events, rides, education and more.

Oakland Bikeways Campaign

Oakland has striped approximately 100 miles of bike lanes toward a goal of 241 miles of bikeways in its Bicycle Master Plan.

Telegraph Avenue Walks

September 9, 2014 - 5:00am to 7:00am

Come September, the City of Oakland will release its preferred design for street improvements on Telegraph Avenue from 20th St to 57th St. and these may not include protected bikeways, unless we act quickly. Can you help? The City has also scheduled public workshops for September 11 and 13, and we need to get the wordξout.
