Did you have fun at our Parklet at Oaklavia earlier this summer? We got such a good response that we are working with Bicycle Coalition partners Walk Oakland Bike Oakland and Bicycle Friendly Berkeley Coalition to make Park(ing) Day a big event in the East Bay.

Join us at one of our many East Bay parklet locations, including The Cheeseboard and Amanda’s Fine Foods in Berkeley.
Check out Walk Oakland Bike Oakland’s Parking Day Map of locations

What’s Park(ing) Day? It’s an international event where parking spots are reclaimed for a day to create parks, seating, bike parking and greenery for public enjoyment (like our Parklet). We are looking for volunteers who want to help make the East Bay’s streets a little more livable - if only for a day. We’re seeking business partners in main commercial districts and individual volunteers that want to help build the temporary parklets and spread the good word on Park(ing) Day. We see Park(ing) Day as a great opportunity to promote our Parklets for People Campaign, advocating for permanent parklets throughout the East Bay. Contact carrie (dot) harvilla (at) ebbc (dot) org to get involved! Click here to find out more about Park(ing) Day.
