Interested in the future of Active Transportation in Alameda County? Come to EBBC's March General Meeting

Wednesday, March 17, 2010 - 7:30pm to 9:00pm

Want to find out the latest on the future of Active Transportation projects in Alameda County? Or learn about one of EBBC's most succesful programs getting bicyclists on the road? Then roll on down to this month's General Meeting for EBBC members. Guest speakers from Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority -Christine Monsen, Executive Director, and Tess Lengyel, Programs and Public Affairs Manager- will present "Measure B: Mobility, Access, Accountability". They will discuss plans for a new transportation sales tax on an upcoming ballot that will include funding for bicycle, pedestrian and transit projects. We'll also hear from Jason Agar, EBBC's much-loved Lead Instructor for the Bicycle Safety Classes - our classes have expanded this year, and the results are inspiring. Finally, EBBC Executive Director, Robert Raburn, will share all sorts of good news for bicyclists upon his return from the National Bike Summit in Washington, D.C.
