Albany Arts & Green Festival

Sunday, May 2, 2010 - 11:00am to 3:00pm

Come enjoy a day of music, games, and art. Discover what's happening
in Albany and what you can do to help create a greener, healthier

Date:  Sunday - May 2, 2010

Time: 11 AM - 3 PM

Location: Memorial Park, 1331 Portland Ave, Albany, CA 94706

There will be bands playing, shows and
games for the kids, poetry, delicious food, and lots of booths where
artists will be displaying and selling their works.

Inside the Veterans Memorial Building will be tables where you can
learn about activities of local environmental and green action groups,
and all the things you can do to make Albany an even greener city, from
composting and recycling to installing solar panels and building with
natural, non-toxic materials.

Visit the Albany Strollers & Rollers' table to learn more about bicycling & walking around our town. We will display bikes of all types, to show you how to leave
your car at home and live a greener lifestyle! We'll have free bicycling and pedestrian maps and will try to
answer any questions you may have about riding around town and beyond.

Volunteer with AS&R at the Festival - get a Chipotle
burrito for lunch!*

Bicycle Valet Parking Sponsored by Bua Luang Thai Cuisine

Thanks to the generous contributions of our sponsor, Bua Luang, Albany Strollers & Rollers will again provide free valet bike parking. Cycle over to the Festival and we'll watch your bike free of charge while you enjoy the art, food and music!

Free or low-cost bike tune-up

For the third consecutive year, the mechanics from Street Level Cycles will team with Albany Strollers & Rollers to offer free or low cost tune-ups and repairs in our Festival booth so you can ride with the best of them. Street Level Cycles is a unique bicycle shop in Berkeley that functions as a classroom as well as a full scale used bicycle shop. So roll, drag, push or pull your old bike over to the Festival, and Street Level Cycles will help you get your bike working for Bike to Work Day (Thursday May 13th) and beyond!
