On Alvarado Blvd, at the border of City of Fremont and Union City, the railroad tracks are slanting at a very acute angle to the bike path and ped path, causing bike tires to easily get caught. Signage would be helpful to avoid bike accidents. UPDATE 11-22-13: Sent to Fremont (Frans & Yashin) with a request for either improved conditions or guidance on jurisdiction. Fremont, Union City or Union Pacific??? UPDATE 1-28-14: Mirza Sabanovic, Transportation Engineer in the Fremont PW Dep't, directed me to the railroad. I also learned there's a new Union Pacific contact named Peggy, based in Rocklin, CA: cell phone number is (916)705-2395 and her e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org. Submitted to Peggy today, asking for a smoother grade as well as better signage.
