Family Cycling Workshop & Bikes in Berkeley Fest

Registration is closed for this event
The family that rides together thrives together! Safe road bicycling takes a lot more than balance, a helmet and a good attitude. Join the East Bay Bicycle Coalition's League Certified safety instructors for a day of fun games, safety drills, skills building, and a neighborhood ride.
This workshop is for kids who are able to ride a bike and ready to ride on the roadways with their parents. Parents and kids must attend together and should bring their own bikes and helmets. Each child receives a free red blinky light for participating!

Then, after the workshop, stick around for the Bikes in Berkeley Fest, noon-5pm! Tons of family-friendly events are planned, including bike decorating, a bike swap, trivia contests, free tune ups, bike blenders, and much more! Don't miss it! (Donate your outgrown bikes to the Youth Bike Swap: morning bike drop-off begins at 10am bikes must be complete with wheels, a seat and gears.)

As an added bonus, everyone who attends an EBBC Family Workshop from now through the end of May will automatically be entered into a raffle to win an Xtracycle Free Radical, the "minivan of bikes" which turns any ordinary bike frame into a cargo bike suitable for carrying big loads of groceries, multiple kids, or almost anything else you can think of. This item has a retail value of $500, and more details are available online here.
