In the bike lane on southbound Pleasant Hill Road there is a large drainage grate that is substantially lower than the surrounding roadway. It spans just about the entire bike lane. Somebody is going to swerve into traffic and ignore it or assume the bike lane is ride-able and plow over the grate which may cause a crash. Adjacent auto speeds can be very high on this road increasing the danger. The grate is just south of the southernmost driveway entrance to the Lafayette Ridge Entrance/Staging Area for Briones park. UPDATE 3-15-17: Submitted to Lafayette on their MAINTENANCE REQUEST website.
