West County Transportation Advisory Committee Dives Into Measure J Reauthorization

Friday, March 4, 2016 - 8:00am to 10:00am El Cerrito City Hall, 10890 San Pablo Avenue

While the Contra Costa Transportation Authority (CCTA) works to compile a countywide transportation expenditure plan (TEP) to please two-thirds of Contra Costa voters in November 2016, the West County Transportation Advisory Committee revisits their priorities under this potential TEP plan. West County’s share of a new TEP plan is $544 milliion out of a $2.3 billioin, 25 year plan. Bike East Bay is supporting BART’s ask for $300 million to fund new BART cars and station access improvements, AC Transit’s ask for a significant increase in funding for needed local bus service, and appreciate BART’s and AC Transit’s support of our call for Major Complete Street projects to get more people walking and bicycling to transit.

Come to this Special Meeting of the WCCTAC Board, and show your support for “Better BART, Buses and Bikes.”
